      02 January 2026 14:34 Incidents — In Dzerzhinsk, traffic police officers stopped a car that was missing its hood and doors. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      The incident occurred on the night of January 2 on Sovetskaya Street. During a patrol, inspectors noticed the heavily damaged car and signaled it to stop. When checking documents, signs of alcohol intoxication were observed in the 23-year-old driver. An on-site examination confirmed the officers' suspicions.

      An administrative report was drawn up against the offender under Part 1 of Article 12.8 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation — driving a vehicle while intoxicated.

      The police urge citizens not to remain indifferent to such situations. If you witness a drunk driver operating a vehicle, report it by calling 112, providing the car's license plate number and, if possible, its route.
