Russian air defense systems destroyed two fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles over the territory of Nizhny Novgorod Region, the Russian Ministry of Defence reported.
According to the agency, a total of five Ukrainian UAVs were shot down between 9:00 and 13:00. Two more were destroyed in the Moscow region, and one in Belgorod Region.
Earlier it was reported that on the night of January 2 the Nizhny Novgorod airport accepted nine flights bound for Moscow as an alternate aerodrome.
