Nizhny Novgorod trams Nos. 18 and 2 have resumed service.

      December 31, 2025, 11:43 — Society. In Nizhny Novgorod, trams No. 18 and No. 27 are returning to regular service on their usual routes, representatives of the company "Ecological Projects" reported.

      From December 31, tram No. 18 has resumed running on the circular route "Lapshikha – Lyadov Square – Lapshikha." Tram No. 27, in turn, will return to service on January 2, 2026, and will operate on the route "Tram Depot No. 1 – Moskovsky Railway Station."

      Also, from December 31 tram No. 2 began running on the full city ring.

      Earlier, technical test runs of tram tracks were carried out on several sections in Nizhny Novgorod. Work was done on Ilyinskaya Street — from Maslyakov Street to Dobrolyubov Street, as well as on Dobrolyubov Street, Oktabrskaya Street, Lykova Dam, at the tram loop by Chyorny Pond and on Osharskaya Street — from the turning loop in the Lapshikha neighborhood to Belinsky Street.

      It is also worth noting that three-section "MiNiN" trams have begun operating on routes No. 6 and No. 7 in Nizhny Novgorod.
