      Nizhny Novgorod residents of the infrastructure for the development of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) will be able to receive support from the Regional Guarantee Organization (RGO) on a priority basis. The support measure is implemented within the federal project "Small and Medium Entrepreneurship" of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy."

      The Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Maxim Cherkasov, emphasized that conditions for the development and support of representatives of the unmanned aerial systems sector are being consistently implemented in the region.

      "For UAS enterprises in the region, a package of support measures has been formed and is constantly expanding. Now companies in this field will have simplified access to borrowed financing when implementing and expanding projects. Combined with tax relief, preferential financing programs, measures to promote developments and training of specialized personnel, this creates conditions for the sustainable development of the industry," the minister said.

      LLC RPK became the first company to receive support under the program. The enterprise presented its own development at the CIPR-2025 forum. The innovation is a multipurpose vertical take-off and landing unmanned vehicle "Varan-3" with a high level of readiness for serial production. This development was created with the tasks of import substitution and increasing Russia's technological independence in mind.

      "To implement projects in the UAS sector, our company regularly uses the tools provided by the regional guarantee organization. During our work with the RGO we have already received guarantee support nine times totaling 91.7 million rubles, which made it possible to attract 197 million rubles in bank financing. Funds obtained thanks to the Fund allow us to expand our own developments, purchase necessary materials, modernize production processes and bring new solutions to market faster," said Andrey Sokolov, founder of LLC "Regional Industrial Company."

      A surety with the regional guarantee organization can be issued when concluding a loan agreement and a lease agreement. The size of the surety can range from 100 thousand to 35 million rubles, and the term up to 7 years. The guarantee volume is up to 70% of the amount of obligations.

      A surety agreement can be executed by SMEs of the Nizhny Novgorod Region that are residents of the Scientific and Production Center for Unmanned Aerial Systems (SPC UAS).

      Priority categories of recipients of RGO support include manufacturers of import-substituting products, industrial products used by participants of the special military operation (SMO), participants in the federal project "Labor Productivity," family enterprises and exporters.

One of the main points of the national project "Small and Medium Entrepreneurship" was to create conditions for an easy start and comfortable business operations. Work to support entrepreneurs in this direction is planned to continue this year within the framework of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy."
