Trams may return to Osharskaya Street before the New Year.

      Trams may begin running again along Osharskaya Street in Nizhny Novgorod before the end of 2025. This is possible provided that weather conditions allow all necessary work to be completed on schedule.

      According to the regional CRTS, the installation of the overhead contact network on the street is currently underway. At the same time, the full range of planned works is being carried out.

      According to the schedule, the relaying of the tram tracks and related works are planned to be completed by January.

      The CRTS clarified that in favorable weather the full scope of work can be completed without delays, and in that case the launch of tram routes along Osharskaya Street could take place even before the New Year.

      Earlier it was reported that the regional head, Gleb Nikitin, ordered an acceleration of the tram track reconstruction.

      Also, recall that on 25 December in the Zarechnaya part of Nizhny Novgorod three-section trams began operating on routes No. 6 and No. 7.
