The quality of housing and utility services has improved for 131,000 Nizhny Novgorod residents thanks to FRT.

      In the Nizhny Novgorod region, communal infrastructure facilities are being modernized. This work is being carried out, among other things, under a program with financial support from the Fund for the Development of Territories.

      "The key objective of this program is to improve the quality of communal services provided to citizens by renewing systems and communal infrastructure facilities. Since its launch in 2023, in the Nizhny Novgorod region, in particular, 223.7 km of utility networks have been commissioned. The largest volume of modernization work on engineering communications was carried out in the field of water supply — about 113 km were commissioned; more than 86 km of heating networks and 24.7 km of sewerage were also renewed. In addition, three site facilities were commissioned. Thanks to this, the quality of communal services has improved for more than 131,000 people," said the General Director of the Fund for the Development of Territories, Vasily Kupyzin.

      The program operator is the Fund for the Development of Territories, and the work is being supervised by the Russian Ministry of Construction.

      "Among other things under this program, sections of utility networks were recently commissioned in the Volodarsky, Navashinsky and Ardatovsky municipal districts and the town of Pervomaysk, with a total length of 82.6 km. In addition, two new block-modular boiler houses were commissioned in the urban-type settlement of Yuganets and the village of Pochinki. Thanks to this, the quality of the services provided has improved for more than 13,000 people," said Nizhny Novgorod Region Governor Gleb Nikitin.

      To fully complete the program in the Nizhny Novgorod region, several more sections of utility networks still need to be commissioned. According to the region, construction and installation work has already been completed and is undergoing acceptance.
