The Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service for the Nizhny Novgorod Region held Alfa-Bank liable for violating advertising legislation. According to the agency's press service, the bank distributed an advertising video in which it offered customers a partial refund for paying restaurant bills. However, important terms of the promotion were shown on the screen in a font that was too small and only for a short time, making them practically unnoticed by viewers.
Following consideration of the case, the FAS found such advertising to be improper. As a result, the financial institution was fined 500,000 rubles.
Recall that the FAS demanded the termination of the lease agreements for new "Pyaterochka" stores in Kstovo.
Earlier, the Nizhny Novgorod FAS fined Sberbank 800,000 rubles.
