Medical and pharmaceutical workers, including in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, will be allowed to temporarily work without undergoing accreditation. This was reported by Alexey Nikonov, editor-in-chief of the medical outlet "Stacionar-press", on his Telegram channel.

According to a draft order from the Russian Ministry of Health, the deadline for mandatory accreditation will be postponed by one year — from 1 January 2026 to 1 January 2027.

First and foremost, the easing will apply to those who in 2025 already worked in a medical or pharmaceutical specialty confirmed by a diploma, but whose specialist certificate expired in the same year.

People with different education will also be able to work without accreditation if it meets the qualification requirements established by orders of the Russian Ministry of Health or the requirements of the professional standard.

In addition, in emergency situations work without accreditation is permitted in the positions of operating-room nurse/operating-room male nurse and nurse anesthetist.

According to Nikonov, the measure is intended to resolve the difficult situation that has arisen, including in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, where many experienced doctors and pharmacists lost the ability to work due to accreditation refusals. The refusals were often caused by discrepancies in entries in employment records.

The Ministry of Health called the one-year postponement "additional time for medical workers" to transition to the accreditation procedure.

Earlier it was reported that young doctors were allowed to opt out of mentorship in the Nizhny Novgorod Region. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has a Telegram channel. Subscribe to stay informed about the main events, exclusive materials and timely information.
