Reservists of "BARS-NN" shot down two drones in 2025.

      In the Nizhny Novgorod Region, results were summed up for the work of the mobilization reserve "BARS-NN" for 2025. The formation's commander, Alexey Khramov, said that two units are already on round-the-clock combat duty, guarding the region's critically important facilities and repelling drone attacks on industrial enterprises.

      According to him, a key achievement is that the residents of the Nizhny Novgorod Region have shown a high readiness to defend their region. The reserve includes 200 people, including employees of the regional government and heads of municipalities.

      He also said that a third unit of reservists is planned to be formed in the near future, whose task will be to guard not only infrastructure facilities but whole populated localities.

      The mobile fire groups "BARS-NN" operate jointly with the air defense units of the Russian Ministry of Defense. Joint efforts make it possible to effectively repel aerial threats. In particular, during their duty the reservists shot down two unmanned aerial vehicles.

      The successes of the Nizhny Novgorod reservists were noted at the federal and regional levels. Thirteen fighters received honorary certificates from the region's governor, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the military commissariat. In addition, four participants were awarded commemorative gifts by one of the enterprises for their contribution to its security.

      The commander of "BARS-NN" emphasized that the reservists will continue to carry out tasks to guard facilities during the New Year holidays. In 2026 recruitment to the reserve will continue, and the number of enterprises under protection will increase.

      Recall that the formation of the reserve began in the autumn of 2025 to provide additional protection for critically important facilities on the territory of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. Service as part of "BARS-NN" takes place exclusively within the region and does not entail deployment to the zone of the special military operation. Joining the reserve is voluntary, by signing a contract with the Ministry of Defense through the military commissariat.

      Earlier it was reported that Gleb Nikitin urged employers not to obstruct employees from joining "BARS-NN".
