Vladimir Putin will fulfill the dreams of three children as part of the "Wishing Tree".

      At the #WEARETOGETHER forum the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, traditionally took part in the "Wish Tree" event (0+). At the National Centre "Russia" the head of state took three cards down from the holiday tree on which children who have found themselves in difficult life circumstances had written their New Year's wishes.

      The "Wish Tree" project, implemented by the Movement of the First together with Rosmolodezh, helps fulfill the cherished requests of children with disabilities, orphans, children from families of participants in the special military operation, as well as children living in border regions and those affected by shelling.

      The first of the children whose wish Vladimir Putin drew was five‑year‑old Timur Ryasnoy from Khanty‑Mansiysk. He has long dreamed of trying himself in the role of a traffic police officer. Nine‑year‑old Muscovite Varvara Smakhtina would like to meet a cosmonaut from Roscosmos. And seven‑year‑old Igor Stepanenko from the Moscow Region wished to visit the Museum of the World Ocean in Kaliningrad.

      The president's participation in the "Wish Tree" has become an integral part of the campaign: each year he grants several children's requests, underscoring by personal example that showing attention and doing kind deeds is within everyone's reach. He consistently emphasizes how important it is for children to celebrate the New Year with a sense of support, warmth and a little bit of magic, because these are the values that need to be passed on to new generations.

      Since 2018 the campaign has helped children across the country feel the magic of the upcoming holidays, and the head of state's participation serves as a reminder that anyone can bring joy to children and make someone's dream come true. Over seven years Putin has fulfilled 21 New Year's wishes.

      Last year he also fulfilled three children's dreams: ten‑year‑old Margarita Rutsinskaya from the Belgorod Region was able to try herself as a pilot on an aviation simulator; twelve‑year‑old Taisia Leonova from the Moscow Region attended a master class by ballet artists and a rehearsal of the State Igor Moiseyev Folk Dance Ensemble; fifteen‑year‑old Arina Porkhal from the DPR visited St. Petersburg for the first time, saw the main sights and attended the ballet "The Nutcracker" at the Mariinsky Theatre.

      During the International Forum of Civic Participation #WEARETOGETHER the National Centre "Russia" was decorated with three themed holiday trees. A special "Wish Tree" campaign area also opened there, where every visitor can become the fulfiller of a child's dream and give a child a celebration.
