Nizhny Novgorod Region was allocated 14.8 million rubles for pedigree livestock breeding.
03 December 2025 14:16 Economy: Nizhny Novgorod Oblast will receive 14.8 million rubles from the federal budget to support pedigree livestock farming. This information is contained in Russian Government Order No. 3530-r, published on 1 December 2025.
The funding will be directed to the development of genomic selection in animal husbandry. The co‑financing mechanism for such expenses was approved in August 2025.
Under the established rules, a state subsidy may cover up to 70% of the costs incurred by pedigree farms. Funds are provided on the basis of agreements between the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation and regional authorities.
In total, 264.5 million rubles will be allocated to support pedigree livestock farming in 31 regions. Nizhny Novgorod Oblast is among the regions receiving funding.
Egg and milk production has increased in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast.
