Sergey Dmitriev has been reelected to the post of rector of the R. E. Alekseev Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University, his Telegram channel reports.
The election procedure took place within the framework of the university's staff conference. The event was attended by the Deputy Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Andrey Sanosyan. He emphasized NGTU's significant role in developing the region's scientific potential and industrial sector.
In his address, Dmitriev expressed gratitude to the faculty, employees, administrative staff and students for the trust and support shown.
"New tasks, victories and projects lie ahead," he said, summing up the elections.
It should be added that Sergey Dmitriev has headed the "Polytech" since 2011.
Earlier it was reported that Georgy Zhdankin was appointed acting rector of the Nizhny Novgorod Agrotechnological University.
Also recall that in August 2025 Nikita Avralev became head of the N. A. Dobrolyubov Nizhny Novgorod State Linguistic University (NGLU).
