A contractor has been chosen to build resettlement housing in Sormovo.

      Society: In the Sormovsky District of Nizhny Novgorod, a contractor has been selected to build a new residential building intended for relocating people from unsafe housing. The winner of the open tender was LLC "Mostoproektstroy."

      Information about the signed contract was posted on the public procurement portal on 2 December 2025. The customer is the municipal institution "GlavUKS." The initial project cost amounted to 1.495 billion rubles.

      Recall that the project involves the construction of a 10-story building with a total area of 21,000 square meters. The building will contain 280 apartments — from one-room to four-room units.

      The first floor of the residential complex will accommodate apartments adapted for people with reduced mobility, as well as built-in office premises.

      The design of the facility, including obtaining all necessary permits, should be completed by mid-2026. Construction will begin in August of the same year, and completion is scheduled for October 2027.

      Earlier reports said that three residential buildings for relocated residents are already under construction in Nizhny Novgorod, including on Zaitseva Street in Sormovo.

      In total, the regional center plans to relocate residents of more than 50 dilapidated houses in 2025.
