More than 100 schoolchildren took part in the fourth municipal forum "Vzlet. Industrial Start" in Pavlov.

      More than 100 schoolchildren took part in the fourth forum "Vzlet. Industrial Start" in Pavlovo. The project is organized by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the regional "My Business" center with the support of the Corporate University of the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the Nizhny Novgorod Region Youth Career Center "KUPNO.START" and the regional branch of the "Movement of the First" of the Nizhny Novgorod Region under the national project "Effective and Competitive Economy."

      "This project helps schoolchildren see how diverse modern industry is and understand where they will be able to apply their skills in the future. In the Pavlovo municipal district the students got acquainted with enterprises from different sectors — from the production of city transport to the manufacture of cutlery, medical and agricultural equipment. This approach allows them to better understand the specifics of real production and to see that there is a wide range of directions to develop in their home municipality," emphasized Maxim Cherkasov, Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      The Pavlovo event was the fourth of nine municipal forums "Vzlet. Industrial Start." Until next spring, such events will be held in the urban districts of Vyksa, Dzerzhinsk and Semyonov, as well as in the Gorodets and Balakhna municipal districts. The first three events took place in the Chkalov and Navashino districts, and in Arzamas. The results of the entire program will be summed up in spring 2026 at the finale in Nizhny Novgorod.

      Students in grades 8–11 took part in the forum in Pavlovo. A total of nine teams of 7–10 people were formed.

      "The program included two stages: first the students visited industrial enterprises in the municipality, after which they presented their own vision of these enterprises in the form of presentations and videos. In their works, the participants reflected the specifics of the productions, their development histories and opportunities for career growth," the minister clarified.

      Participants in the "Vzlet. Industrial Start" project were evaluated by a competition committee that included representatives of the regional Ministry of Industry, the city district administration, the regional "My Business" center and the Nizhny Novgorod Region Youth Career Center "KUPNO.START." Experts evaluated participants by the following criteria: content and depth of topic disclosure, structure and logic of presentation, oratory skills, teamwork, quality of visual design, originality and career-guidance component.

      First place was taken by the "Kotyata" ("Kittens") team (Secondary School No. 6, Pavlovo), which represented the enterprise LLC "Kot." This team will represent their municipality at the project final in spring 2026. Second place went to the "Agrarii" ("Agrarians") team (Secondary School No. 7, Pavlovo) representing LLC "Management Company 'Russkoe Pole'." Third place went to "Minin" (Secondary School No. 1, Vorsma) — LLC SP "Nizhekotrans."

      "Career guidance work with schoolchildren has become an integral part of the educational process. The event organized today in our district is a real mechanism for interaction between educational institutions and enterprises to form a conscious professional choice among teenagers. I can say that in our district, in addition to the existing regional and federal career guidance programs, a municipal program called 'The Future Is Ours' is operating, within which exhibitions of enterprises are organized in schools, excursions to industrial enterprises are held, and the book 'Pavlovo Municipal District. Enterprises: from Artisans to Modern Technologies' has been published," noted Alexey Kirillov, head of local self-government of the Pavlovo municipal district.

      The forum program also included educational events. On the entrepreneurial track, participants learned about the work of the regional "My Business" center and its branches in the region's districts, the conditions for launching one's own business and measures of state support for young entrepreneurs. At the master class "How to Build Your Career Track?" by the Nizhny Novgorod Region Youth Career Center "KUPNO.START," students learned about the principles of planning a professional path, choosing a suitable profession and self-presentation skills.

      An interactive zone "Exhibition of Career Opportunities" operated on the forum site, where participants could talk with representatives of municipal enterprises. Employers spoke about current vacancies, working conditions, career opportunities for young specialists and measures of social support for employees. In addition, the exhibition featured stands from the "My Business" center, the "Rabota Rossii" employment center, and the mobile career point of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Youth Career Center.

      According to the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, the national project "Effective and Competitive Economy" will become the main instrument for forming a new growth model. It includes federal projects aimed at the development of small and medium-sized enterprises, increasing labor productivity, boosting investment activity, low-carbon development and the development of the state system of statistics and forecasting. One of the main points of the national project "Small and Medium Entrepreneurship" was creating conditions for an easy start and comfortable business environment. Work to support entrepreneurs in this area will continue this year within the national project "Effective and Competitive Economy."
