A project to widen a section of Vaneev Street will be prepared in 2026.

      The project to widen the section of Vaneev Street in Nizhny Novgorod, located in the area of the Cardio Center, is planned to be prepared in the first half of 2026, the Ministry of Transport and Highways of the Nizhny Novgorod Region reported.

      Originally, the completion of the design documentation was planned for the end of 2025. However, the ministry said the city administration decided to move the timeline to the following year.

      The cost of preparing the project is estimated at about 24 million rubles.

      The work will affect a stretch of the street approximately 500 meters long — from building No. 110D on Vaneev Street to Rokossovsky Street. A local widening of the roadway is planned there, along with the construction of stopping areas and the installation of new shelters for passengers waiting for transport.

      Residents of Nizhny Novgorod have repeatedly drawn the authorities' attention on social networks to the need to widen this section, since active construction continues in that area and traffic congestion occurs.

      Earlier it was reported that the authorities announced a new tender to widen a section of the R-158 highway in the Dalnekonstantinovsky district.
