      Doctors at the Vorotynskaya Central District Hospital managed to save a young athlete who experienced clinical death after being hospitalized. This was reported on his Telegram channel by the editor-in-chief of MIA “Stacionar-press,” Alexey Nikonov.

      A professional coach came to the district hospital’s emergency department complaining of high blood pressure. Doctors found an arrhythmia on the ECG — the patient was urgently hospitalized, but in her ward the young woman’s heart and breathing suddenly stopped. The athlete went into clinical death.

      A whole team of doctors fought for the young woman’s life: resuscitator Alexey Iorin, cardiologist Evgenia Prokhorova, and head of the therapeutic department Natalya Kostyuk. They managed to “restart” the woman’s heart on the third shock of the defibrillator. “In the intensive care unit, the patient was overseen by cardiologist Alexander Lisin of the Makaryev Interdistrict Medical Center; a week after the clinical death, the woman had an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator installed at the Nizhny Novgorod Cardio Center to prevent sudden cardiac events,” Alexey Nikonov said.

      The young athlete is now already at home and feeling well.
