Wet snow and temperatures slightly below zero are expected in Nizhny Novgorod in early December.

      Wet snow and a slight below-zero temperature await residents of Nizhny Novgorod in the first week of December, according to a forecast from Yandex Weather.

      On Monday, 1 December, the air will warm to +3 °C. It will be cloudy, with no precipitation. A southeast wind will blow at 2 m/s. Atmospheric pressure will be at 754 mmHg. At night a temperature of +2 °C is forecast (feels like -1 °C).

      On Tuesday, 2 December, Nizhny Novgorod residents can also expect overcast weather with no rain or snow. During the day thermometers will show only +1 °C, and at night it will cool to -1 °C. Gusts of the southwest wind will reach 3 m/s. Atmospheric pressure will be 753 mmHg.

      On Wednesday, 3 December, it will be cold from early morning. According to meteorologists, -1 °C is expected in the morning. But during the day and evening the temperature will be around zero. And by night a slight minus will return. The wind will blow from the west at 1–2 m/s. Atmospheric pressure will be between 755 and 757 mmHg.

      Precipitation is expected on Thursday, 4 December. Snow with rain is possible in the afternoon and will continue at night. During the day the forecast is down to -4 °C, and at night to -3 °C. The wind will be westerly at 2 m/s. Atmospheric pressure will be 756 mmHg.

      There will be rain with snow on Friday, 5 December, too, but already in the first half of the day. Morning and daytime temperatures will be 0 °C, cooling to -2 °C by night. During the day the wind will blow from different directions: first from the west, then from the northwest, and by the end of the day from the south. Atmospheric pressure will be 756–757 mmHg.

      The first December weekend will be cold and damp. On Saturday the forecasted maximum is -2 °C, but it will feel like -4 to -6 °C. No precipitation is expected. On Sunday, however, residents of Nizhny Novgorod will again face wet snow and temperatures down to -2 °C (feels like -6 to -7 °C).

      We remind you that winter in the Volga capital will begin with strong geomagnetic storms.

      It was also reported that, according to the Hydrometeorological Center, the average monthly air temperature in December in the Nizhny Novgorod region is expected to be around -9 °C.
