The repair of the road to the village of Bolshie Kemary under the national project was completed ahead of schedule.

      The State Commission signed the acceptance certificate for the completed repair work on the road leading from the Perevoz–Shatki highway to the village of Bolshiye Kemary in the Perevoz district of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The contracting organization completed all work a year ahead of the contractual deadline. The road upgrade was carried out under the national project "Infrastructure for Life," the Main Directorate for Highways of the region reported.

      The length of the repaired section was 7.5 km. The contract value of the work was 29.3 million rubles. Specialists checked the conformity of the physical volumes — the length and width of the roadway — as well as its geometric parameters, including longitudinal and transverse slopes. All work was carried out in full accordance with the design documentation.

      The road surface consists of two layers of asphalt concrete: a leveling layer made of a crushed-stone-and-sand mixture with an organic binder and a top wearing course made of dense asphalt concrete mix. The thickness of each layer is at least 4 cm. To improve safety and durability, the shoulders on both sides of the road were reinforced with crushed stone 10 cm thick. New galvanized barrier guardrail with a total length of 230 m was installed in hazardous sections. Horizontal road markings were applied along the entire route.

      "Early completion of the repairs is an important event for the Perevoz district. We did everything possible so that the residents of Bolshiye Kemary would receive a high-quality and safe road as soon as possible. The technologies and materials used guarantee that it will serve residents for many years. This is a clear example of the effective implementation of a national project," said Leonid Samukhin, director of the State Public Institution of the Nizhny Novgorod Region "Main Directorate for Highways" (GKU NO "GUAD").

      High-quality transport accessibility is also important for residents of nearby villages, as Bolshiye Kemary houses social infrastructure: an agricultural production cooperative, a House of Culture, a school, a kindergarten, a post office and a library.

      Recall that road repairs in the Nizhny Novgorod Region are carried out under the "Safe and High-Quality Roads" program as part of the national project "Infrastructure for Life," which was initiated by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, to provide citizens with modern infrastructure. The project consists of 11 federal projects aimed at developing road construction, housing and communal services, ensuring road traffic safety, and developing public passenger transport.
