The best educator in the Nizhny Novgorod region has been named as part of the "Knowledge" award.

      The first deputy head of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Russian Society "Znanie", Sergei Kiriyenko, spoke before the Honorary Jury of the country’s main educational award Znanie.Premiya — the flagship project of the "Znanie" Society. The meeting took place on 25 November at the National Centre "Russia" in Moscow. Outstanding state and public figures evaluated the projects of 112 nominees from 30 regions of Russia and four foreign countries.

      Opening the meeting of the Honorary Jury, the first deputy head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation and chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Russian Society "Znanie", Sergei Kiriyenko, expressed his gratitude to the members of the Honorary Jury and the nominees of the Znanie.Premiya educational award:

      “I see many high-ranking leaders in the hall; first of all I want to say a huge thank you for putting aside all your affairs and taking on such an important task. Many thanks and a deep bow to each of the educators who will come onto this stage today. They face a difficult task of presenting their projects. Not all of them will become winners, but all of them deserve great respect.”

      He noted that this time the Znanie.Premiya award has brought together educators and projects not only from Russia but from 40 countries around the world, with applicants from 15 countries taking part in the award for the first time.

      “Our priority is educational projects dedicated to preserving historical memory, the memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War. Many projects are devoted to the heroes of the special military operation. It is very important and great that among the nominees, among the educators, there are actual participants of the special military operation, who have a special moral right to tell the younger generation what true patriotism is, what real readiness to stand up for the defense of one’s country is. When young people speak about this with Hero stars and combat orders on their chests, they inspire a different level of trust,” Sergei Kiriyenko emphasized.

      He also noted that this year, for the first time, in each of the 89 federal subjects the best regional educator and the best educational project will be awarded. They will receive the first-ever regional Znanie.Premiya awards.

      The best educator of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast was Evgeny Kushnir, a leading researcher at the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Russian Federal Nuclear Center — All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Experimental Physics." And the region’s best educational project was the First International Biennale of Ecological Art (0+), organized with the support of the government of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast.
