The prosecutor's office demands that the dismissal of the arrested deputy head of GUMMiD be reviewed.

      November 26, 2025 12:29 Incidents The Nizhny Novgorod prosecutor's office has filed a lawsuit with the Sovetsky District Court seeking to change the grounds for the dismissal of the former deputy head of the municipal state institution "Main Directorate for the Construction and Repair of the Metro, Bridges and Road Networks" (GUMMiD), Ilya Beba. This was reported by the court press service.

      Recall that Ilya Beba was detained in the summer of 2025. According to investigators, he forced contractors to enter into disadvantageous subcontracting agreements with a company owned by his father. In particular, this concerns work on the overpass near the Myzinsky Bridge.

      Following an internal investigation, the official left his post of his own accord. However, the prosecutor's office believes that the dismissal should have been recorded under an article related to loss of trust, which implies more serious consequences and restrictions for future public service.

      In this regard, the supervisory authority is demanding that the corresponding changes be made to Beba's employment record book.

      A case has also been opened against the former head of GUMMiD, Andrey Levdikov, who resigned in May 2025. He is suspected of receiving a bribe of an especially large amount. Investigators believe that in 2024–2025 Levdikov ensured that one commercial organization won a tender for the construction and repair of roads in exchange for payment of repairs to his apartment in the amount of 7 million rubles.

      Initially Levdikov evaded investigators and was declared wanted, but he later surrendered voluntarily. He has been remanded in custody. By court decision, his pretrial detention has been extended until December 15, 2025.
