More than 3 million rubles have been allocated for the security of a condemned building in Sormovo.

      More than 3 million rubles from Nizhny Novgorod’s budget have been allocated for the security of a vacated condemned building located at 12 Sutyrina Street in Sormovo. The information is posted on the public procurement portal.

      Recall that since 25 September 2025 a state of heightened readiness has been in effect around the building. Residents are to be relocated, and more than 2 million rubles from the city’s reserve fund have been directed to rent temporary housing.

      According to the technical specification, the site must be guarded around the clock from 1 January to 31 December 2026. In the event of the building’s premature demolition, the contract may be terminated by mutual agreement of the parties.

      One security guard must be on duty daily, with shifts not to exceed 24 hours. Employees are prohibited from living on the premises.

      The contract stipulates obligations to prevent unauthorized persons and vehicles from entering the site. It also requires compliance with fire safety measures, prompt response to emergencies, and cooperation with law enforcement agencies. Guards must carry ID, wear uniforms and have communication equipment that ensures uninterrupted contact among all security personnel.

      The customer is the administration of the Sormovsky District. The procurement results are scheduled to be announced on 28 November 2025.

      Earlier it was reported that almost 13 million rubles were allocated for the security of four condemned buildings in the Avtozavodsky District. They are located at: 17 Krasnodontsev Street, 4 and 9 Ilyich Avenue, and 5 Kolomenskaya Street.

      We note that on 22 November a fire occurred in the nine-story building at 17 Krasnodontsev Street — garbage on the eighth floor caught fire.
