A state of heightened readiness was introduced at about two houses in Nizhny Novgorod.

      Nizhny Novgorod authorities have declared a state of heightened readiness at two sites in the Kanavinsky and Nizhegorodsky districts. The corresponding decrees were published on the city administration's website.

      It is noted that the decisions were made to prevent threats to residents' life and health.

      In the Kanavinsky district the regime has been in effect since 15 October 2025. The cause was the partial subsidence of the roadway near building No. 6 on Proletarskaya Street. The hazardous section is located between its intersection with Meshchersky Boulevard and Betankur Street. The 20-meter-long heightened readiness zone covers a strip ten meters wide along the axis of the collector.

      In the Nizhegorodsky district a similar regime was introduced on 8 October. The cause was the collapse of a section of the stormwater sewer near building No. 5 on Alexander Khokhlov Street. At this location the heightened readiness zone has been established in a radius of ten meters from the building.

      Earlier it was reported that on General Zimin Street a passenger car fell into a huge hole. As later clarified by JSC "United Communal Operator", work is being carried out at the site and the area is cordoned off.
