Seven dilapidated houses will be demolished under the KRT project on Yanka Kupala Street.
26 November 2025 14:47 Society — A new phase of the comprehensive territory development project bounded by Yanki Kupaly Street, Yuzhnoye Highway, Kolomenskaya and Leskova streets has begun in the Avtozavodsky district of Nizhny Novgorod.
According to the publication "Domostroy-NN", preparations have begun to relocate residents living in buildings slated for demolition. These buildings are within the development boundaries and hinder further implementation of the project.
A total of 39 apartment buildings are subject to relocation. The first seven of them are planned to be vacated in 2026. These are the buildings located at Yanki Kupaly Street, numbers 1 and 5, and Afanasyeva Street, numbers 6, 8, 9, 11 and 15.
These buildings contain 112 apartments, whose residents will receive new apartments with improved living conditions.
Recall that the KRT (comprehensive territory development) project in the Avtozavodsky district, in the block of Yanki Kupaly, Kolomenskaya, Leskova and Yuzhnoye Highway, became known in June 2024. In August of the same year a comprehensive territory development agreement for Yanki Kupaly was signed.
Earlier it was reported that Nizhny Novgorod Oblast earned about 1 billion rubles from the KRT auctions.

On the morning of November 26 the Nagorny Sports and Entertainment Complex filled with Torpedo fans who had come to an open practice of their favorite team. During a week-long break between games in their home stretch, the club decided to please supporters and give them a chance to see behind the scenes of the training process.
Although it was a weekday, the stands were far from empty. Some even skipped school to watch their favorite players.
The first on the ice were goaltenders Denis Kostin and Ivan Kulbakov, accompanied by goalie coach Nikolai Khabibullin. A little later the skaters joined them.
The practice lasted about an hour but was held at a high tempo with a variety of drills as intense as a full game. As in a match, there were broken sticks and pucks flying out of the rink, some of which were picked up as souvenirs by the luckiest fans.
You couldn’t miss the coach — Alexey Isakov’s voice carried across the arena even over the lively hum of the stands. The session included team drills as well as individual work for defensemen, forwards and goalies.
Although the team had a meeting with the coaching staff scheduled after the practice, Torpedo players handed out autographs and posed for photos. Fans were reluctant to let some players go.
A correspondent from NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" managed to catch a few words from the Nizhny captain Alexey Kruchinin. He said that an open practice is not much different from a regular one: "Training is not a game, it’s a little different. Today we were told right away not to pay attention to the stands and to work in the same way. So the spectators just watch what the training process looks like from the inside. The fans didn’t distract us, everything’s fine."
Tomorrow the club’s newcomer Vladimir Tkachev, who joined the team in a trade with Sibir, will begin practicing with the squad.
On November 28 Torpedo will host Minsk’s Dinamo. This meeting (6+) will conclude Nizhny’s extended home stretch, after which they will head out on a three-game road trip in early December.
Torpedo currently sit fourth in the Western Conference. Thanks to the break in the schedule, the team has almost evened out the number of games played with other clubs. They trail the conference leader, Yaroslavl’s Lokomotiv, by just two points.
Earlier, Governor Gleb Nikitin spoke about what awaits the Nagorny complex after Torpedo’s move to the new arena, which, incidentally, is being postponed.
