In the Borsky District of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Pavel, a participant in the special military operation, was handed the keys to a new apartment. This was reported by the press service of the regional government.

The ceremonial presentation took place on November 20; it was attended by the region’s Minister of Social Policy Igor Sedykh, the head of the military investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod garrison Maxim Ignatovich, and the deputy head of the district administration Evgeny Redozubov.

It is noted that Pavel is entitled to receive housing from the state as an orphan. He received the apartment when he arrived on leave from the area of the special military operation.

According to Igor Sedykh, the new apartment for the young man is not just housing, but an opportunity to start a new stage of life, to look to the future with confidence, and to start a family.

"We will continue to do everything possible so that as many young people as possible receive their own home and confidence in tomorrow," the minister emphasized.

The apartment is in a new building and is completely ready for occupancy. It has been freshly renovated, with plumbing and necessary equipment installed. The neighborhood where the building is located has well-developed infrastructure. Pavel was pleased with his new home.

"And everything necessary is close to the house — a school, shops, and a kindergarten right next door," he shared.

According to the Ministry of Social Policy, this year 2.5 billion rubles from the regional budget have been allocated to provide housing for orphans. Work is being carried out in two directions: the purchase of ready-made housing and the issuance of housing certificates, including regional ones that came into effect on November 1. According to the agency, about 680 people will receive their own apartments in 2025. Priority in their allocation is given to orphans participating in the special military operation.
