Travel on the M-12 highway in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast will become more expensive.

      In 2026, tolls on the M-12 high-speed motorway within the Nizhny Novgorod region will increase. This follows from a response by the press service of the Avtodor company to a request from NIA "Nizhny Novgorod".

      They explained that the annual indexation of tolls is necessary to maintain the road infrastructure and service on the highway at the required level of quality.

      At the same time, the specific timing for introducing the new tariffs and the size of the increase have not yet been determined.

      Indexation is usually tied to the level of the consumer price index, Avtodor concluded.

      Recall that in 2025 the new M-12 toll rates came into effect in February.

      It was also reported that driverless trucks will begin to be tested on the M-12 in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
