More than 50 tons of undocumented dairy products were taken off the market in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      More than 50 tonnes of dairy products that had not undergone the mandatory safety check were prevented from entering circulation in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The violation was detected thanks to the "Mercury" system.

      Specialists from Rosselkhoznadzor established that the region received products from manufacturers in Saint Petersburg for which no veterinary‑sanitary certificate had been issued. That is, their origin and safety had not been properly confirmed.

      The documents accompanying the cargo were annulled. It turned out that this dairy product had already been used as raw material for the production of butter brands "Krestyanskoye" 72.5% and "Traditsionnoye" 82.5%. The production was carried out by the company LLC "Privolzhsky Plant" in Bor.

      On 18 November 2025 the agency revoked the production certificates for the finished butter due to violations of the requirements for documenting the raw materials.

      The company has already been sent an official notification of the violations. Now the plant will have to take measures in accordance with the requirements of the law "On Technical Regulation".

      Earlier it was reported that several serious violations had been found at the Nizhny Novgorod dairy plant.
