      The administration of the Gorodets municipal district is considering creating paid parking spaces. This was reported to NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" by Deputy Head of Administration Evgeny Maslov.

      According to him, there are currently no paid parking facilities in Gorodets, and the existing traffic management scheme does not provide for charging fees for vehicle parking.

      He added that in the near term projects to create paid parking infrastructure are planned to be developed. However, no specific timelines or implementation details have been announced.

      Earlier it was reported that paid parking could bring the region more than 260 million rubles over three years. Those figures are contained in the draft regional budget for 2026. It was also reported that Nizhny Novgorod authorities plan to create a unified system combining all parking facilities of the Volga Region's capital with a common information platform.
