A gale-force wind tore the roof off a house in a settlement near Balakhna.

      In the settlement of Lukino in the Balakhna district, strong winds damaged the roof of one of the apartment buildings. This was reported by the TV channel "Kstati" (16+).

      The incident occurred on Pobedy Street. Due to powerful gusts of wind, part of the roofing, measuring approximately 60 square meters, was torn off.

      After the incident, the concrete slabs on the roof remained exposed and vulnerable to precipitation. Currently two entrances are at risk of flooding.

      It is reported that as of the morning of November 21, restoration work had not yet begun.

      Recall that earlier this work week the Ministry of Emergency Situations warned of winds of up to 19 m/s in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      It was also reported that snow mixed with rain is expected in Nizhny Novgorod over the coming weekend.
