      19 November 2025 08:00 Society / Government The Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region plans to allocate significant funding for the modernization of street infrastructure in Nizhny Novgorod. The project concerns the reconstruction of roadways on Ilyinskaya Street and in Plotnichny Lane.

      According to the project published on the official website of the city Duma, changes have been made to Nizhny Novgorod’s 2025–2027 budget, providing for the allocation of 434.1 million rubles for the repair of the specified sections.

      The funds will be used to renew the road surface on Ilyinskaya Street — from Krasnoselskaya Street to Dobrolyubova Street. In addition, under the same project, repairs to Plotnichny Lane are planned on the section from Ilyinskaya to Sergievskaya.

      Almost all of the funding will come from the regional budget. The city's co-financing share will be only 0.1% — about 434 thousand rubles.

      Recall that the large-scale reconstruction of Ilyinskaya Street in Nizhny Novgorod is planned to begin immediately after the completion of work to replace the tram tracks.
