Servicemen in the zone of the special military operation received a large shipment of humanitarian aid from Nizhny Novgorod Oblast. The total volume of the cargo amounted to 120 tons. The delivery was timed to coincide with Father's Day, Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast Gleb Nikitin reported on his Telegram channel.

The cargo was sent to 20 military units where residents of Nizhny Novgorod serve. The aid was delivered to units located in the territories of the DPR, LPR, as well as in Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions. In addition, military medical facilities also received humanitarian support.

The organization of the convoy was made possible thanks to the joint efforts of the House of National Unity, the regional government, municipal authorities and volunteers who responded to the initiative.

The servicemen expressed their gratitude to their fellow countrymen by recording a short video message.

"Humanitarian aid is not only support for the combat capability of the servicemen, but our gratitude to the guys defending the peace and security of Russia. They should know — we are always with them!" the head of the region noted.

Earlier it was reported that residents of Nizhny Novgorod had sent equipment and humanitarian aid to the zone of the special military operation.
