In the Sovetsky District of Nizhny Novgorod, police uncovered a case of fictitious registration of foreign nationals in a dormitory on Shorin Street.

According to the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Nizhny Novgorod Region, a 45-year-old unemployed local woman, in exchange for payment, registered ten foreign nationals at her room for migration registration. None of them actually lived there.

A criminal case has been opened under Article 322.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation — "fictitious registration of a foreign citizen at a place of stay in Russia." The woman has been placed under a travel restriction in the form of a written undertaking not to leave.

Police remind that violating the procedure for registering foreign nationals entails administrative or criminal liability.

Citizens with information about illegal registration of migrants are asked to report it to the police by calling 02, 102 or 112.

Earlier it was reported that more than 200 migrants were expelled from the Nizhny Novgorod Region after raids.
