Nizhny Novgorod heating companies confirmed their readiness for winter.

      Key heat suppliers for Nizhny Novgorod — the Avtozavodskaya and Sormovskaya CHPs, JSC Teploenergo, LLC Teploseti and LLC Nizhnovteploenergo — have confirmed a high level of readiness for the upcoming heating season. These organizations provide heat to 98% of the city's residents.

      This was reported during a nationwide meeting organized by Rostechnadzor of the Russian Federation, which discussed the completion of the assessment of municipalities' readiness for the autumn-winter period. According to the federal agency's statement, the issuance of readiness certificates must be completed by 20 November.

      The Ministry of Energy and Housing and Communal Services of the Nizhny Novgorod Region reported that, as part of preparations for the heating season, the city administration updated the heat supply scheme. An action plan for accidents on the heat networks was also approved, including the use of electronic modeling to predict and mitigate potential consequences.

      Specialized crews have been formed for rapid response to emergency situations. All necessary documentation has already been sent to the Rostechnadzor commission for the official assessment of the city's readiness for the 2025–2026 heating period.

      An independent assessment was also conducted to evaluate the reliability of all the city's heat supply systems. The analysis found that the systems of the largest heat suppliers comply with regulatory reliability standards.

      It is worth noting that, based on the results of the last heating season, accidents on the heat networks in Nizhny Novgorod decreased by 42% compared with the previous year. The number of requests from residents was halved, and there were no serious incidents that could have led to prolonged heat outages in the city.

      It was previously reported that heating is being supplied to schools and kindergartens in Nizhny Novgorod and Kstovo as scheduled.
