Young farmers in the Nizhny Novgorod region can receive up to 2 million rubles for housing.

      Young employees of agricultural enterprises in the Nizhny Novgorod region can expect financial assistance of up to two million rubles to improve their housing conditions. This was reported by Governor Gleb Nikitin on his Telegram channel.

      The program is aimed at supporting workers in the agro-industrial complex aged up to 35. To receive the payment, one must have worked in agriculture for at least five years.

      In addition, alternative support measures are provided. Young specialists with higher education can receive a one-time allowance of 500,000 rubles, and those with a secondary vocational diploma — 400,000 rubles. These funds can be used for any purposes.

      The support system has been in place in the region for five years. During this time, 1,227 young specialists have been employed in the agricultural sector. Students studying in the most in-demand agricultural fields also receive financial assistance in the form of scholarships: 4,000 rubles at universities and 3,000 rubles at technical colleges. At the moment, 192 students benefit from such scholarships.

      In addition, agro-technology classes are actively being developed in the region's schools. Twelve general education institutions in the region have already implemented such specialized programs, which contributes to the early vocational orientation of young people toward agriculture.

      Earlier it was reported that the average scholarship amount at Nizhny Novgorod universities is 3,200 rubles.
