In Nizhny Novgorod, as part of the construction of a parallel route to Lenin Avenue, plans call for the demolition of an apartment building, a private garage, railway tracks and a number of non-residential buildings. The corresponding changes are recorded in the territory planning and delimitation project approved by order of the Ministry of Urban Development of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
The residential building No. 104 on Internatsionalnaya Street will be demolished. A land plot of 658 sq. meters will be formed for this purpose. A plot under building No. 102 on the same street, measuring 617 sq. meters, is also planned to be formed, but it is not included in the list of objects to be demolished.
Other objects to be expropriated include a garage at 96 Internatsionalnaya Street and railway tracks (on the section from Gorky-Moskovsky station to 2 km PK-7).
The list also includes objects in municipal and state ownership: a brick garage and a boiler house, a transformer substation, a non-residential building, repair bays for road-construction equipment (three units), a metal hangar and a number of non-residential structures.
Most of these objects are located at 2 Vorotynskaya Street in the Leninsky District.
In addition, the demolition will affect shoreline protection structures on the left bank of the Oka — from the metro bridge (in the area of the Central Hotel) to the Molitovsky Bridge. The total length of the section is from 1.7 to 4.6 km along the navigable channel from the river mouth.
Recall that construction of the parallel route to Lenin Avenue is divided into three stages:
- first stage — a 1.6 km section from Internatsionalnaya Street to the Molitovsky Bridge;
- second stage — 1.85 km with an interchange at the Molitovsky Bridge and Komsomolskaya Square;
- third stage — 1.4 km from Sovetskaya Street to Internatsionalnaya Street with an exit to the interchange with Sovetskaya Street and the metro bridge.
The project also provides for reinforcement of the left bank of the Oka along a 3.4 km section between the Kanavinsky and Molitovsky bridges. The project is being implemented under a private concession initiative by the company DL Plus LLC, which is responsible for the design, construction and operation of the new highway.
Construction of the parallel route is scheduled to be completed by 2029.
Earlier reports said that from December 2 to 4 the R-158 route would be closed at night due to construction of a parallel route to Gagarin Avenue.
