Two new traffic lights were installed near the Ice Arena on Strelka.

      Two modern traffic light complexes were installed next to the ice arena under construction on the Strelka by order of Mayor Yuri Shalabaev, the city transport department reported.

      According to the information, the systems are designed for heavy pedestrian traffic. The signaling is configured to give priority to pedestrians over vehicles by lengthening the pedestrian phase. The traffic lights have already been switched to normal operating mode. By November 5, it is planned to dismantle the uncontrolled pedestrian crossing and restore the landscaping in the adjacent area.

      Earlier NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" found that 11 million rubles were allocated for the installation of these traffic lights.

      It was also reported that by the end of 2025 ten traffic lights will be modernized in the capital of the Volga region.
