A scooter sparked a fire in an apartment on Tereshkova Street in Dzerzhinsk.

      A fire broke out in an apartment building in Dzerzhinsk — the blaze started in one of the flats on Tereshkova Street. According to the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, the cause of the incident was faulty electrical equipment related to an electric scooter.

      The fire covered an area of about 2 square meters. Eighteen Emergency Ministry personnel worked at the scene; they extinguished the fire and evacuated three residents from the building's entrance.

      Fortunately, there were no injuries.

      Preliminary data indicate that the fire occurred due to design flaws and manufacturing defects in components of the electric scooter.
