      The Arbitration Court of the Nizhny Novgorod Region found the medical organization "Zdravia" guilty of grossly violating the law.

      As reported on his Telegram channel by the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Gleb Nikitin, the basis for the court proceedings was a test purchase conducted by the Institute for Demographic Development. During the inspection it was revealed that patients were offered medical termination of pregnancy, although the medical facility did not have a license. The women were also not referred for the mandatory consultation with a psychologist.

      As a result of the proceedings, the court imposed a fine on the organization.

      "Profiting from women of Nizhny Novgorod who found themselves in a difficult life situation, and pushing them to terminate a pregnancy, is unacceptable," emphasized Gleb Nikitin.

      The governor reminded that regional authorities are creating all the conditions to support motherhood: assistance measures are being developed, and material and psychological support are being provided.
