Recycling collection points in Nizhny Novgorod and Dzerzhinsk will cease operations from November 3, 2025. This was reported on the social media channels of the company that manages the eco-points.
The decision was made due to the difficult situation in the recycling industry and the shutdown of processing plants.
"Due to the difficult economic situation in the secondary raw materials recycling sector, and the shutdown of processing plants, the eco-points are forced to suspend their operations from November 3, 2025. We apologize for the inconvenience," the official statement reads.
In November 2024 the eco-points had already stopped accepting textiles. And since July of this year they have stopped accepting household and computer appliances. The reason was also the suspension of work at processing plants.
Earlier it was reported that more than 350 specialized yellow containers for separate waste collection have already been installed in Nizhny Novgorod.
