Since 2024, volunteers with the support of United Russia party activist Oksana Zharkova have been implementing the project "camouflage nets SVOim." Its main goal is to show servicemen that people believe in them, support them and are ready to help.
"The front needs camouflage nets, and we are doing our best together to help our guys. Our work is organized clearly: everyone knows what to do. Some braid the nets, others cut and twist the strips, others weave. We have a friendly team, but we welcome new faces, those who are ready to join our mission, because only together are we strong," said project participant Galina Osokina.
Twenty volunteers participate in the project on a permanent basis, but the number of those willing to join is constantly increasing. For example, the opening of a new site in the village of Prokoshevo in the Kstovo district is planned in the near future. In addition, volunteers from Dobro.Center take part in the project.
"When we and the volunteers learned about this project, we eagerly joined in weaving the nets. Only together, only with a team will you move forward, so this project is very important to us, and we gladly supported it," said the head of Dobro.Center "Young at Heart," Olga Frolova.
Since the project began, more than 1.5 square kilometers of nets have been sent to the SVO zone. Through volunteer groups that collect humanitarian aid, activists receive requests from the military. This allows them to produce nets in the required quantities. Volunteers purchase materials for different weather conditions: autumn nets are woven from dark tones, winter ones from white shades.
"The project is very important because it brings people together around one common cause — supporting our fighters in the SVO and bringing victory closer. Our work is real help to the fighters: we know there are requests for nets, and we try to meet them. Thanks to the project, servicemen are confident that they have a reliable rear, and this boosts their morale. I am grateful to the volunteers, the district administration and partners for keeping the project alive and gradually expanding. We are very glad that the United Russia party provides us with informational support, because it is important not only to do, but also to tell people about such necessary initiatives," shared project leader Oksana Zharkova.
Recall that residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region provide ongoing support to servicemen, internally displaced persons, those in the liberated territories, and residents of border regions.
