Domestic sixth-generation Wi‑Fi routers (Wi‑Fi 6) with the advanced AX3000 chipset are now available for connecting to Rostelecom’s home internet across the country. They provide increased data transfer speeds (up to 3 Gbit per second), wide coverage range, the ability to connect a large number of devices simultaneously, and enhanced protection using the modern WPA3 security standard.
The powerful next‑generation chipset is responsible for reliable, wide Wi‑Fi coverage and better handles interference — the internet works stably in multi‑story apartment buildings where there are many other networks nearby. Moreover, to achieve quality coverage even in a far room in the apartment you do not need a system of multiple relay modules; the device already supports mesh technology. Thanks to modern signal modulation technologies, Wi‑Fi 6 transmits data twice as fast as previous‑generation routers, high‑quality video doesn’t freeze, and websites load instantly.
A sixth‑generation router enables data exchange for many devices simultaneously, unlike outdated models where connections are handled one at a time. This ensures stable connectivity even when dozens of devices are connected: from smartphones and laptops to TVs, robot vacuums and other smart devices. In addition, the router intelligently manages the power consumption of connected devices, extending their operating time between charges.
Irina Lebedeva, Vice President for Mass Market Products at Rostelecom:
“The new generation of internet routers is no longer a privilege for those who are prepared to choose and configure devices themselves. Rostelecom was the first to begin large‑scale deployment of sixth‑generation home routers across the country. The new devices deliver lightning‑fast speeds, stable performance with any number of family devices, effective energy savings and strong protection against cyber threats. These are not only technical improvements, but real savings of time, money and nerves, and now also a baseline standard for every subscriber regardless of their place of residence.”
Starting today, the new equipment is available throughout Russia. Sixth‑generation routers can be chosen by both new customers and existing Rostelecom home internet subscribers. New customers can rent the equipment as part of the “Test Drive” promotion, which allows them to try all the advantages of Rostelecom’s home internet and other digital services free of charge for 30 days.
Rostelecom specialists handle the setup of the new equipment. To do this, you need to submit a request on the company’s website or by the toll‑free number 8 800 100 08 00.
