A new double-decker train, "Burevestnik", has set out on tests for the first time. The day before, specialists from the Tver Carriage Works were running it between Likhoslavl and Doroshikha in the Tver region, the Russian Railways press service reported.
Recall that the train will run between Nizhny Novgorod and Moscow starting in December. The first run of the "Burevestnik" is scheduled for December 3. The train will depart from Nizhny Novgorod at 15:29 and arrive in the capital at 19:25. From December 4 it will begin making three trips a day in both directions.
Depending on the schedule, stops are planned in Dzerzhinsk, Kovrov and Vladimir. The trainset consists of ten double-decker cars, including seated cars, a compartment staff car, an SV sleeper car and a bistro car.
The train's maximum capacity exceeds 730 passengers per trip.
It was previously reported that ticket prices for the "Burevestnik" would start at 1,600 rubles, varying depending on class and travel conditions.
