An investor will build a tennis academy for 850 million rubles in Nizhny Novgorod.

      A Tennis Academy will appear in the Sovetsky District of Nizhny Novgorod. The Council on Land and Property Relations under the government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region approved the allocation of a plot of 7,763 square meters to an investor.

      As noted at the meeting on October 22, the project is being carried out by LLC "Specialized Developer 'Obyektstroy'." It intends to build the academy at 27a Nartova Street within two years. Total investment in construction will amount to 850 million rubles.

      The plot consists of two parts: one belongs to the municipality, the other to another developer. Obyektstroy has already signed a preliminary agreement to purchase the land from the latter. Part of the site is currently occupied by abandoned garages and other structures.

      The mayor's office proposed not to consider the project until the municipal property is written off. But Deputy Governor Yegor Polyakov said it was impractical to postpone the decision because of the garages. Moreover, he said, a basic agreement had been reached to buy out the garages, and the municipal property would be written off.

      In the end a positive decision was made regarding the Tennis Academy. However, the investor will have to make adjustments to the planning project.

      Earlier it was reported that Obyektstroy will build the "Sakharny Dol" residential complex in the area of the intersection of Meditsinskaya and Nartova streets. In May it became known that the project for an apartment building with public-use premises, an integrated preschool educational institution, and a parking lot had passed a non-state examination.
