Nizhny Novgorod's "Rekord" will be one of the venues for the festival of films about art.

      October 23, 2025, 14:29 Listings The Record Cultural Center in Nizhny Novgorod will serve as one of the venues for the international art film festival The Art Film Festival (18+) on October 23 and 24. On these days viewers will be able to see three films included in the program of the festival’s eighth season, the Ministry of Culture of the Nizhny Novgorod Region reported.

      The first festival evening, on October 23, will open with the documentaries "Cherkashins. The Perestroika Performance" and "This Is the Best We Have" (18+). The latter film is the film debut of The Art Newspaper Russia — a mockumentary by Alexey Martynov of the Brusnikin Workshop.

      The next day, October 24, viewers will see the film "New Wave" (18+) by director Richard Linklater.

      It should be added that in 2025 The Art Film Festival is taking place simultaneously in eight Russian cities. In addition to Nizhny Novgorod, screenings are organized in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Perm, Samara, Vladimir and Novosibirsk.

      It was previously reported that the next INTERVALS (0+) festival will take place in Nizhny Novgorod from April 23 to 26.
