More than 130 bottles of illegal alcohol were found in a Sormovo café.

      In the Sormovsky district of Nizhny Novgorod, employees of the regional Ministry of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship seized over 130 bottles of illegal alcohol. The department's press service reported this.

      According to it, the inspection took place at one of the catering establishments. Administrative cases have been initiated following the raid.

      The department noted that such activities are conducted regularly — both in response to citizens' complaints and on the basis of data obtained through the interagency control and licensing system developed by the ministry. It allows identifying violations in the circulation of alcoholic products. It receives information not only about retail outlets and catering establishments, but also about apartments and houses where clandestine alcohol sales may be taking place. Nizhny Novgorod Region became the first region to implement such a system in practice.

      According to the Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Maxim Cherkasov, specialists have carried out 27 inspections of retail outlets since the beginning of the year. Numerous violations were recorded during the inspections, including the sale of alcohol without licenses and the required documents.

      As a result, 25 administrative offense reports were drawn up, and more than 600 units of illegal products were seized. A court has already suspended the activities of six organizations caught in illegal alcohol trade.

      Citizens who have information about such violations can contact the ministry with a statement. It is important that the complaint be authorized — indicating the applicant's name and passport details, as required by Russian law.       Earlier it was reported that more than 100 liters of illegal alcohol were seized in Bor.
