A meteorologist warned residents of Nizhny Novgorod about rain and wet snow.

      During the current workweek, from October 20 to 24, residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region can expect predominantly cloudy weather with brief clearings. Most days will see rain, and at night precipitation in the form of wet snow is possible.

      Olga Mokeeva, head of the meteorological forecasts department at the Hydrometcenter of the FGBU "Upper-Volga UGMS," said that weather conditions across the European part of Russia remain unstable. This is due to the influence of atmospheric fronts that bring western cyclones.

      Daytime temperatures in the region during the week will range from +4 to +8°C. At night, thermometers will show between 0 and +5°C. With clearings in some areas, especially in the north of the region, temperatures may drop to −1 to −3°C.

      According to the forecaster, temperatures are generally in line with the climatological norm for this time of year. Despite the autumn chill, no abrupt cold snaps are expected for now.
