      On October 17, 2025, a solemn ceremony honoring the laureates of the regional stage of the national "Person of Labor" Award was held at the City Duma of Nizhny Novgorod. Participants included the Chairman of the City Duma of Nizhny Novgorod Evgeny Chintsov, regional coordinator of the party project "Choose Yours" Sergey Plyaskin, head of the RIK NRO of the All-Russian Political Party "United Russia" Dmitry Filipenko, director of the State Institution "Nizhny Novgorod Innovation Business Incubator," managing company of the high-tech Technopark "Ankudinovka," chairman of the Public Council of the federal party project of the "United Russia" Party "Choose Yours" in the Nizhny Novgorod Region Timur Radaev, First Deputy Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Maxim Shapilov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Resources of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Alexey Firstov, chairman of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Union of Trade Union Organizations "OBLSOVPROF" Anatoly Sokolov, head of the administration of the Sovetsky District Alexander Ivanov, authorized representative for the protection of entrepreneurs' rights of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Pavel Solodky, Deputy General Director of the Regional Employers' Association "Nizhny Novgorod Association of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs" Kirill Temnov, head of the occupational safety oversight department of the "State Labor Inspectorate in the Nizhny Novgorod Region" — Chief State Labor Inspector in the Nizhny Novgorod Region Alexander Bodunov, participant in the special military operation Stanislav Sobolkin, and others.

      In his speech, Sergey Plyaskin emphasized the importance of the "Person of Labor" Award, which serves to raise the prestige of working professions, promote a culture of honest and selfless labor, and provide career guidance for young people.

      "The National 'Person of Labor' Award is a symbol of respect for the working person and their skill, and for loyalty to their native enterprise. Such admirable qualities should be recognized. In honoring the laureates, we celebrate all their colleagues — employees of Nizhny Novgorod’s industrial and agricultural enterprises. Thank you for your selfless work and dedication to your profession!" he said.

      More than 150 applications from enterprises in the Nizhny Novgorod Region were submitted for the regional stage of the award across six nominations. Seventeen people were recognized as winners.

      In the "Technological Leader" nomination, first place went to Denis Shishov (JSC "Special Machinery Corporation"), second place to Alexander Sergeev (LLC "Doza-Agro"), and third place to Sergey Govyadinov (JSC "FNPC 'NNIIRT'").

      "Our organization manufactures equipment for feed mills and builds feed plants across the country. I am very glad that our work has been highly appreciated. This indicates that the state pays attention to all industries, including those that are not in the spotlight. Such an approach is very important. Its positive results are visible at both the regional and the national levels. We are ready to continue working and improving, including in the area of technological leadership," said Alexander Sergeev.

      In turn, Sergey Govyadinov noted the honor of participating in the "Person of Labor" competition.

      "For us this is a high appraisal of the work of our specialists, of which we are proud. Such recognition is important not only for enterprises but for the whole city," the laureate said.

      In the "Best Mentor" nomination, first place went to Irina Vorobyova (Production and Design Association "Heat Exchanger" JSC), second place to Evgeny Mikheev (TNV "Mikheev and Company"), and third place to Artem Losev (JSC "OKBM Afrikantov").

      In the "Young Specialist" nomination, first place went to Alexander Zvorygin (FSUE RFNC–VNIIEF), second place to Ksenia Shubina (LLC "Agrofirma 'Iskra'"), and third place to Elizaveta Kirilova (JSC "OKBM Afrikantov").

      In the "Family Labor Dynasties" nomination, first place went to Alexey Ganichev (SPK "Zabolotnovsky"), second place to Lyudmila Bryukhanova (Production and Design Association "Heat Exchanger" JSC), and third place to Tatyana Volynskaya (primary trade union organization at PJSC "Gorky Automobile Plant").

      In the "Labor Patriotic Education" nomination, first place went to Elena Zagustina (primary trade union organization at PJSC "Gorky Automobile Plant"), and second place to Alexander Skvortsov (LLC "Agrofirma 'Iskra'").

      In the "Veterans' Council" nomination, first place went to Alexander Ershkov (FSUE RFNC–VNIIEF), second place to Vladimir Sveshnikov (primary trade union organization at PJSC "Gorky Automobile Plant"), and third place to Tatyana Sukhareva (JSC "Arzamas Instrument-Building Plant named after P.I. Plandina").

      "'Person of Labor' is a very important and necessary competition for organizations across various sectors of the region. For our veterans' organization to become a prize-winner in the 'Veterans' Council' nomination and to receive such a high appraisal of our work is a great honor. I am sure this victory will give activists new strength for further work. Now we will take on the implementation of new large-scale projects with even greater enthusiasm.       Candidates selected in the regional competition will participate in the federal stage of the award, which will take place on November 21 as part of the International Exhibition-Forum in the field of safety and labor protection "BIOT-2025" in Moscow. The Nizhny Novgorod Region will be represented in the final by Dmitry Turutov (CJSC "Arzamas Bread," nomination "Technological Leader"), Leonid Sedov (OJSC "Agrofirma 'Poultry Farm Seimovskaya'," nomination "Labor Patriotic Education") and Irina Smirnova (branch of PJSC "United Aircraft Corporation" — "Nizhny Novgorod Aircraft Plant 'Sokol'," nomination "Family Labor Dynasties").
