The Association "Nizhny Novgorod Business — For the Family" will unite the region's socially responsible companies.

      By the end of the year, an association "Nizhny Novgorod Business – For the Family" will be established in the Nizhny Novgorod Region. It will bring together socially responsible companies in the region that are willing to contribute to efforts to support families. The overarching goal of the association's activities is to strengthen traditional family values in the region and to promote demographic stability.

      The launch of the association was announced on October 17 during the EKG Forum of Responsible Business "SO.ZNANIE" held in Nizhny Novgorod. The work of uniting companies will be undertaken by the Autonomous Nonprofit Organization (ANO) "Institute of Demographic Development." A preliminary list of community participants has already been determined.

      "The creation of the association 'Nizhny Novgorod Business – For the Family' is another step in bringing together the efforts of business and government to support the region's sustainable demographic development. We seek to create an ecosystem in which socially responsible businesses actively participate in creating comfortable conditions for families and children. Such cooperation will not only improve the quality of life for residents of Nizhny Novgorod, but also strengthen the position of business as a socially significant institution. I am convinced that pooling the resources and experience of community participants will make it possible to implement large-scale socio-demographic projects and pay special attention to all families in the region, especially large families," said Evgeny Zhuravlev, director of ANO "Institute of Demographic Development."

      On the opening day of the forum, the Institute of Demographic Development signed several significant agreements. One initiative is a joint project with the Association of Restaurateurs of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, which has already been joined by 14 restaurants in the region. The establishments provide guests with free children's coloring books, desserts, and complimentary items. Thanks to this, visiting food service establishments will become even more comfortable for families.

      In addition, the Institute of Demographic Development and RAEX-Analytics LLC agreed to work on improving the "EKG-Region" ranking. The main areas of cooperation include information exchange, mutual consultations, development of the ranking methodology, its calculation, and event organization.

      As Evgeny Zhuravlev noted, corporate support is of particular importance for employees with children. He explained that changes are planned soon to the EKG ranking (the national standard "Index of Business Reputation of Economic Entities") to increase the weight given to employees' social benefits packages when evaluating companies.

      Currently, the Nizhny Novgorod Region is developing implementing regulations for the regional law "On the Development of Responsible Business Conduct." The Institute of Demographic Development is developing a selection model and support options for socially responsible budget-funded organizations. It is planned to introduce a unified standard for improving working conditions, as well as to establish a package of individual benefits, support, and incentives.

      It should be recalled that work to stabilize the region's demographic situation is being carried out in accordance with the goals and objectives of the new national project "Family." By order of the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Gleb Nikitin, the period from 2025 to 2030 has also been declared the Five-Year Family Period in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
