Representatives of the Nizhny Novgorod Region joined the expert council of Znanie.Premiya.

October 20, 2025 11:26 Society — The country’s main educational award Znanie.Premiya announced the composition of its expert council. It includes more than 300 specialists from all regions of Russia. Three experts from the Nizhny Novgorod region joined the council: Deputy Chair of the regional government Ekaterina Solntseva, member of the Federation Council Committee on Science, Education and Culture for the Nizhny Novgorod region Olga Shchetinina, and advisor to the director of the Center for Special Projects "Platforma" Anton Tikhonov.

The expert council will form a federal shortlist across 15 categories and will also determine the best educator and the best educational project in each constituent entity of the Russian Federation.

Deputy General Director of the Russian Society "Znanie," Kirill Khvil, noted that an objective evaluation system has been developed for selecting the best: each application is reviewed by five experts, and only one of them represents the applicant’s region. According to him, this reduces the risk of bias and promotes the exchange of experience between regions.

The council includes, in particular, representatives of the cultural sphere: Chair of the State Duma Committee on Culture Olga Kazakova, head of the National Center for Historical Memory under the President of the Russian Federation Elena Malysheva, Executive Director of the Russian Military-Historical Society Vitaliy Martynyuk, Executive Director of the Russian Book Union Elena Starostina, General Director of the film studio Soyuzmultfilm Boris Mashkovtsev, First Deputy General Director of the State Tretyakov Gallery Tatyana Sharshavitskaya, and others.

Science and education are represented by Chairman of the Coordinating Council for Youth Affairs in the Scientific and Educational Spheres under the Presidential Council on Science and Education Nikita Marchenkov, First Deputy Chair of the State Duma Committee on Enlightenment Alena Arshinova, Deputy Chair of the State Duma Committee on Science and Higher Education Ekaterina Kharchenko, Acting Rector of the St. Petersburg Academy of Postgraduate Pedagogical Education named after K.D. Ushinsky Andrey Bogdantsev, and others.

Among managers in the fields of economics and industry are Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation Ilya Zubkov, Executive Director of the Management Company of the Russian Direct Investment Fund Anton Urusov, founder of the strategic consulting agency K2 Kristina Potupchik, and others.

Leaders of patriotic organizations are also involved in evaluating applications: Executive Director of the Association of Veterans of the Special Military Operation Dmitry Afanasyev, Chair of the All-Russian Public Movement "Volunteer Medics" Anna Babkina, Executive Director of LLC "Volunteers of Victory" Anastasia Ryabova, Executive Director of LLC "Russian Red Cross" Maria Mukhina, and others.

The full composition of the expert council for the fifth season can be found on the Znanie.Premiya website.
