Two-thirds of apartments in new developments in Nizhny Novgorod remain unsold.
17 October 2025 13:48 Economy Nearly 68% of residential units in new buildings in Nizhny Novgorod remain without owners. According to data published by the GiperNN portal, about 23.7 thousand apartments are listed on the city's primary market, of which around 16 thousand have not yet found buyers.
The largest number of unsold units is concentrated in the Nizhegorodsky District — more than 4.3 thousand apartments remain unsold there. The smallest volume of leftovers was recorded in the Prioksky District: about 200 apartments are still waiting for new residents.
Experts note that the share of unsold apartments in new developments has been steadily increasing in recent years. If in 2023 it was 43.3%, by the beginning of 2025 it had already reached 58%. In spring this figure exceeded 60%.
Analysts estimate that it will take about one year and eight months to sell off the current inventory of housing in new developments.
Earlier it was reported that demand for new developments in Nizhny Novgorod increased by 44% over the summer of 2025.
