The cost of motor fuel in the Nizhny Novgorod region has increased by 8.8% since the beginning of 2025, according to data published by Nizhny Novgorodstat.

As of the end of September, the largest increase was shown by AI-92 gasoline — it rose by 9.3% and reached 60.3 rubles per liter. AI-95 increased in price by 8.7%, to 65 rubles per liter. The cost of AI-98 and higher-grade gasoline rose by 3.9% to 84.6 rubles per liter.

Earlier reports said that in a number of regions, including the Nizhny Novgorod region, filling stations began to limit fuel sales due to shortages. In early September, the region recorded cases of gas stations closing, as well as reductions in gasoline sales volumes.

The governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Gleb Nikitin, said that the fuel shortage situation should stabilize in the near future. According to him, all necessary instructions have been given to resolve the problem.

Also recall that a ban on gasoline exports was earlier introduced in the country. It has been extended until the end of the year.
